The New Vase

It is so much fun to change the little things.  When you put flowers in that old glass bottle, the one you almost threw away, or the one that collects dust on a shelf;  let it add style to the table.  Mix and match. Play around!

If you don't have one sitting around, you can look for them at yard sales, thrift stores, flea markets, or you can buy a new one at the grocery store :).  After a little cleaning out they are good to go!  What I think adds fun to the mix is matching them with flowers that accent them well. Color block, color blend, or match exactly.

They really are beautiful placed around your house.

 

Hostage

We finished shooting a movie. And we had fun! Clay is adding to his ever growing portfolio of action-dramas, film by film.  I always love working on set with the amazing actors and crewmen; not to mention eating more snacks and cookies than is good for me. :)

Welcome to our new craft room!

We have officially finished redoing our new craft room! It is such a happy, fun place with a vintage workroom feel to it.  It even has a reading area/sewing couch.  I personally love my little cubby with my BIG bulletin board hanging on the wall (I don't have a photo).  We're so excited about working in here.  Already, we've made a dress, a skirt, covered valances, made seat cushions for patio chairs, covered a seat cushion and a stool.

A Happy Weekend

I'm at my brother's cute little home.  We have grand plans for this weekend: painting, sewing, going to see Brave (I'm so excited!), watching more movies, cleaning, eating watermelon, repairing siding, playing games, and enjoying my brothers and sissy.

It has been thirty-three days since I appeared on this blog. And in those thirty-three days we have been here and there, seen and done, worked and relaxed.  I think those days sounded like this:

And has left me with a breeze of happy memories.  I could sit down here and write page after page of interesting things I have done this month, and this summer so far, but I would much rather pin up a few pictures for you to see.

I am sorry I haven't posted anything  in over a month, like a good little blogger, but I am starting afresh (I hope)!

Our Day At The Beach!

My Auntie is in-town with her two beautiful children.  She trucked home with us from my Granddaddy's wedding last weekend, and we have had the best week together doing "life."

Today we packed up and rolled down to Savannah's mini-zoo and then on to the beach. I think we brought the rain with us from our home to the destination point because the black cloud followed us everywhere we went.  But that sure didn't keep us from having fun!  Soooo, once we arrived at the beach, I think it had to be 60 degrees and raining.  We couldn't stop laughing at our thought process.

I wish I had gotten some sun; I have not even a hint of a burn, but oh, well. It really was fun shivering in the towel (no joke) :).
