TeenPact State Class

TeenPact is where I disappeared to last week.  I tend to "vanish" a lot it seems.  Sorry about that.

This Christian organization has played a huge role in my spiritual growth.  The worship, sessions, fun, yet useful life tips, put into the context of each event helps to grow everyone there.  This year, for Georgia, we had the first state class at an overnight camp!  I was thrilled.  It was so much more fun to come back to a camp at the end of the day to spend time with your new friends.  I have to say my favorite event each evening was the game of "Do You Love Your Neighbor?".

Every morning we would drive into Atlanta and learn how a bill becomes a law, have our own elections for governor and three senators (my friend, Anna, was elected a senator), interview lobbyists, Senators, Representatives, and others who were open to questions.  Much to my surprise, I really enjoyed these interviews.  In the evenings we would come back to camp, play games, frisbee, sing around piano,  and then trot down the hill to a superb dinner.  My sister, Susan Liana, and our friend, Ruth, (the cooks) were popular by the end of the week :).  At the end of the day we would have worship and inspiring sessions. Overall, I loved it.  There were some times when I was stretched and drawn out of my comfort zone, but it was all very good for me.

Governor Katie and me. :)

This is our complete Georgia One State Class on the steps inside the Capitol.

I miss y'all!

(Thank you for the pictures Anna and Mrs. Twibell!)
